Bananas contain an amino acid (Tryptophan) which is used in the body to make mood enhancing chemical serotonin! A banana anyone?
The power of laughter
“Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they will never cease to be amused"
Laughing release hormones which makes us HAPPY! Apparently there are laughter clubs popping up all over the UK.
Talking about Happiness
"Laughter needs no reason.
A smile needs no reason.
Love needs no reason.
Kindness needs no reason.
They are gifts for free -life’s true treasures."
Holidays
Today after a very long scouts AGM will be the beginning of my “official” summer holidays form work! What am I going to go with myself since my Arabic in Egypt plans have fallen through, Christmas period instead inshallah.
I am keeping my plans lose but this is what I will be up to

Reading (lots and lots of books)
Gallivanting (any suggestions)
House parties (Ifrah and my mum have my sister’s house to ourselves till September…)
There is no point to this blog except pointing out to a certain White African the lofty position of the humble fruit that is the banana and that am FREE for two weeks! Cue the pyjamas, the lie ins, the lazy days, the sleep overs (sigh sigh) utter bliss Alhamdulilah

As I see it, we all live fighting to be happy. Different things bring happiness to different people - doesn’t have to be anything material. Essentials of happiness: something to love (someone more like it ;)), something to do, and something to hope for. The Dalai Lama’s followers will defend that the sole purpose of life is happiness!! Let’s not get into that though, we know our purpose in life is to please our Lord. So, rather than just trying to bring happiness to our own lives, let us give happiness to others, as Allah gives us twice the happiness we give others.
Anyway, have fun on your holidays, I think you've had far too many already girl!!! and don't eat too many bananas!
Happy anon :).
LOL ur funny - u somali's... any excuse to eat bananas! (u dont need an excuse - zey r tasty and that it that!)
BTW, why have u got a pic of bugs bunny on there - he ate carrots!!!!
AND, finally, come to MORROCCO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
well what can i say, bananas, they really are the alternative curse word, i dont swear people so i call people bananas instead, but look next time i see you moody or angry (not that i ever do mashallah) im gonna stuff a banana down your somali throat, yep bananas are perfect (rubbing hands together gleefully)
bananas......am already hyper and all over the place. Imagine if I ate bananas.......
But bananas are good for you.....my whole family still don't understand why I don't eat them. When others find out am somali and don't eat banana they are puzzled.......jeez....banana (or lack of it) causes me stress coz I have to explain myself all the time.
Still....good to know that our nationally fav fruit actually enhances our moods....maybe that's why as somalis we are naturally happy, friendly and completely laid back without a care in the world (or maybe this is me viewing us in rose tinted glasses...?)....
uuum yeh rose tinted glassess, the laid back action is the primary cause of somali time keeping lol,
but i agree with the friendliness mashallah
LOL - Somali's have time-keeping? (scratches head) so why are u always late then???
:-P
Morocco without me? WHAT!
