Its been a long time in coming but am finally in Egypt. I am sat here in my room in Cairo for the night before moving on to Alexandria tomorrow and it feels very surreal. The flight was like any other flight really not much to say. The taxi ride from the airport took me back to the first time I saw Al-Qahira striking.
Its already tomorrow so am going to get some sleep, will update soon

Alhamdullilah. Glad to hear you've landed safe and sound. Rest, relax, adjust and inshaAllah keep us updated.
Hi NM, really happy you got there safe and sound too. I hope you have a wonderful time in Egypt, I'A.
AA sis. You are safe and sound in your hopme alhamdullilah. Egypt is home is it not? I know you hold it very dear to your heart and I pray that it stays true to the image we all hold of it. Let me know how you are getting on. Have you seen Kitty's blog about somali blondes? That girl is funny. Missing Manchester yet? I miss you even more now knowing you will not be home when I get back. I am here in the UAE for another two weeks so keep me updated sis. The most amazing thing is hearing the adhan for every single prayer. Have you heard it yet?
Wasalam, what can i say :) egypt is everything it thought it would be!!
The sheer load of HOMEWORK could be crippling if i wasn't enjoying it so much.
everything looks the same though and everytime i venture out i get lost :) (not telling my parents ppl) but therein lies the fun of trying to explain where i want to be.
